I power on and hook up the router.
I follow the instructions to set it up: http://www.cisco.com/en/US
I click Quick Setup, enter my username and password, "configuring the router" box pops up, 10+ minutes later, nothing.
Separately, auto detect completes successfully, in a reasonably quick time. Much less than the 5-10 mins it claims.
Never get a connection to the DSL line though. CD light lights solid. Line works with other hardware.

Okay, I accidentally pasted in a password in the comment I left so I had it removed.
Long story short, though, that didn't seem to work. It got no IP address, best I could tell.
Can you suggest commands to run to diagnose what is and is not working, once that configuration is active?
Also .. to be sure .. there are some default settings set up in that boxes running config that might be conflicting. What's the command to just empty out the running config?
