Speedstream 6520 as a Bridge

Asked by _Forgotten_ in Network Routers, Miscellaneous Networking, DSL Lines / Cable Internet

Tags: 6520, speedstream, bridge

I have a Speedstream 6520 DSL Modem/Router.  I am getting issued a private ip of 192.168.x.x

I use various services on my network like FTP and RDP.  Now...they just installed this DSL and I need to be issued my WAN IP.  Basically I want to use my own router and I want to configure this one as a bridge.  Tech support says it cant be done, but if I upgrade to the business package, they can do it.  That doesnt make sense to me.  Can someone help me out?Start Free Trial
