Cisco T3 Modules - What is good? Why?

Getting ready to connect a DS3 point-to-point using PPP cbit, but actually my question is this:

Why would one choose the NM-1T3-E3 over the NM-1A-T3?  From the ISP, they are telling me I need the NM-1T3-E3, but what is the major differences and why would one choose one over the other for running a DS3 point-to-point using PPP cbit?
