I need some insight as to how to configure BGP on ATT MPLS network.
I have four routers in our WAN R1, R2, R3, and R4.
The physical layout looks like this
Internet
|
R1 R3
| MPLS Backbone
|
R2 R4
|
Internet
All four routers are connected to ATT MPLS network. Router R1 and Router R2 also have a 10Mb pipe between them(CSME network). R1 and R2 have connectivity to the Internet. R3 and R4 do NOT have connectivity to the internet.
ATT's network uses BGP for their MPLS network. How can I:
1. Configure BGP so that the default routes on routers R3 and R4 go to either R1 or R2 for internet access?
2. Provide redundancy so that a link failure will allow the re routing of traffic to the appropriate site?
3. Should I use the same AS number for all routers?
4. When designating which subnets BGP should advertise should I include only those directly connected to each router?
I hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks people.
