T1 line connection issue

Im trying to setup a point to point T1 line with two 1841 Cisco router.

When I plug the cable from the T1 connection to the serial port on the router the interface shows as down. Im not sure what am I doing wrong.

Serial0/0/0 is down, line protocol is down
  Hardware is GT96K with integrated T1 CSU/DSU
