I need to enable port forwarding on 2wire router (2700HG-B), (port 80), but don't know the exact details.
I am installing Panasonic wireless remote monitoring camera. I need to register a personalized web site on viewnetcam.com to access this camera from internet. The registration failed due to 2wire not supporting upnp. The work around is to manually enable port forwarding on the 2wire router. The camera installation instruction says " See the router manual for how to enable port forwarding." I found nothing in the 2wire manual. I called AT&T helpline, talked to 10 agents, still have no answer. The AT&T Tech suppot suggested firewall setting to open port 80 for the camera application. But the diagram in the camera instruction shows mapping the router's global IP (68.74.65.20: 80) to the camera's private IP
(192.168.1.253 : 80). I guess I need to get on an AT&T router server to enter the link in a gatekeeper. The problem is to find that server.
I understand port forwarding may mean either firewall port opening or address translation. I guess for my problem I need address translation. By the way, the camera works fine on Syslink router after upnp being enabled. Any help will be highly appreciated.
