  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Cisco 1841 "No Service Password-Recovery" Recovery

I have a Cisco 1841 it says at boot time:

Readonly ROMMON initialized
PASSWORD RECOVERY FUNCTIONALITY IS DISABLED
---

I have reviewed much documentation in particular I have read every Password-Recovery process/document at cisco.com.

I have also already seen http://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Networking_Hardware/Routers/Q_23445406.html

The unit does not respond to a break signal at all.  I have removed the battery from the Motherboard however the NVRAM is not erased.  There are no removable chips on the motherboard, everything is surface mounted and soldered in place.  The box is working perfectly - however I do not have the password to access it.
