Quick Question, Ive got to deploy some Cisco 877 ADSL routers and Throw in site to site VPN's back to the clients main site which has an ASA5500.
Im happy enough doing the ASA, Ive done plenty, but Ive never deployed one of these little Routers before so Ive got a few questions........
1. Am I correct in thinking that these things are configured with the SDM (I know I can get CLI on them as well)
2. Ive never configured an ASDL connection on a Router - can this be done with the SDM? Is it simple to do? what details will I need? Anyone have any good links or info?
3. Can IPSEC VPN's be configured from SDM (they will have the appropriate K9 OS in them) or am I better at CLI? whats is default VPN settings (IE 3DES,SHA,DH2 with PFS etc)
Any other info you can provide to help me out will be much appreciated.

The SDM does ship by default on the flash of an 877.
Here are some config guides on SDM; not specific to 877 but should work the same.

As for configuring the DSL connection, I'm not sure that you can do everything you might need thru the SDM.

Dear PeteLong;
CLI is always better than all other configuration tools. You can see what is happening. you may find 3DES site-to-site ipsec configuration example for 800 series router.
After configuration you can check state with below command.
