I copied over the txt file to flash -
ip dhcp pool Static_Mappings
origin file flash:/origins/80211g_WPA2
Still no difference, I then amended the file itself to include the *end* and others like it but again no joy.

Browse All TopicsHi,
Im testing the DHCP static mappings using an origin file instead of a pool per static IP. The pertinent parts of my config concerning DHCP is printed below along with my origin file:
Config:
!
ip dhcp pool 802.11g_WPA
network 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.248
dns-server 64.59.114.18 64.59.114.19
default-router 192.168.1.6
lease 0 5
exit
!
ip dhcp pool 802.11g_WPA2
network 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.248
dns-server 64.59.114.18 64.59.114.19
default-router 192.168.2.6
lease 0 5
exit
!
ip dhcp pool Static_Mappings
origin file tftp://192.168.2.6/80211g_
exit
!
Origin File:
Dec 29 2008 08:30 PM
1
!IP Address -- Type -- MAC Address -- Lease expiration
192.168.1.3 /29 id 0100.1d72.503b.ca infinite
192.168.2.3 /29 id 0100.c09f.f958.ac infinite
Its not working. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also I want the Origin file to reside in flash not on a tftp server. Ive read this Cisco document:

Thanks.

are you sure the router can connect to the txt file on the tftp server? To move the file over to your flash just use the copy command. Just make sure you have enough room in flash for the file
copy tftp flash:
Then change your config to point DHCP to the new location of the origin file.
Also not sure if this matters but I see a few differences in your origin file and what cisco says for the requirements
