If you can't remember the password you will need to reset the router.  There should be a reset button that you can push in for 10 - 15 seconds.  This will remove all settings and you will need to reconfigure.  Do you remember setting the password?

According to the links above, the default username/password combination is: admin/[blank - leave password field empty]

If you changed the default UN/PW combination during your setup, you'll need to do as PriceD says and reset *AND* reconfigure your router. There's no way around it -- not unless you were running a keylogger, and can recover what you typed previously, or a password saving program like RoboForm, and can review what you set as the UN/PW.

I have helped many clients do this.  The time you take to try and figure out the password, it is much easier to just reconfig the router...that is if you have all the configuration information.  Once you get this done again, change the default password as most like what happened is someone just decided to have a little fun.

What do yoy define reconfigure?  I pushed  the reset on the back of the router. It asks still  for a password.

I got it to work but still would need to encrypt.  i can not access http://192.168.0.1 without a password.

If you still cannot access the router, then the router was not properly reset. Please read what follows on how to reset the router and how to access the router after it has been reset.

What follows is copied directly from from the D-Link WBR-1310 User Manual. The amplifications are my own.

· Q1: What can I do if I forgot my password?
· A1: If you forgot your password, you must reset your router. Unfortunately this process will change all your [configuration] settings back to the factory defaults.

· To reset the router, locate the reset button (hole) on the rear panel of the unit. With the router powered on, use a paperclip to hold the button down for 10 seconds. Release the button and the router will go through its reboot process. Wait about 30 seconds to access the router. [This is when you would reboot your computer or use the IPCONFIG command after waiting "about 30 seconds" (see below).]

The default IP address is 192.168.0.1. When logging in, the [default] username is admin and leave the password box empty.

Note: You may need to restart your computer after resetting the router. This will ensure your computer is pulling its current IP address from the reset WBR-1310, and that your computer is not holding on to an IP address which was provided by the router before you reset it. If you feel rebooting takes too long, you can instead release and renew your IP address. To do this, follow this procedure: (1) click the Start button; (2) click Run; (3) in the white field, type CMD and click the OK button; (4) in the black [Command Dialog] window which appears, type IPCONFIG /RELEASE (5) wait a few moments and then type IPCONFIG /RENEW

When you have regained access to the router using the above information, let us know and we can help you with the encyrption you mentioned in your last post.

If the blank password is not work maybe the router did not actually reset.  Make sure you had the reset button in for a bit.  Try to keep it pushed in for about 60 seconds......yes, I know usually is should reset as soon as you put the button in; however, I have seened a router be very persistant on keep configurations.
