com port setting for parallel port

I have connected cisco 3810 router to my laptop through RJ 45 to DB 25 cable.Can anybody tell me the com port settings for it.

You connect to a router with serial port not parallel.

Cisco uses a rollover serial cable.

If you have a rollover serial connected to the console, the port settings are

Bits per sec    :  9600
Data bits       :     8
Parity          :  none
Stop bits       :     1
Flow control    :  none

My laptop has only parallel port.So is it not possible to connect to parallel port.

Data bits       :     8
Parity          :  none
Stop bits       :     1
Flow control    :  none

But there is no boot up image on the hyper terminal window

Hi,

The RJ45 - DB25 cable is good for classic analog modems, not the paralel ports, please buy an USB-Serial cable to configure this router!
