question for MikeKane:
thanks for your response.
I downloaded and installed free kiwi cat tools, ran the app, added my ASA as a device, and added the default "Device.Backup.Running Config" task.
The only usename/password that I know is the one I use when I launch ADSM. Which is the correct User/PW field for me to specify my ADSM-User/PW?
I tried adding my usename/password (in kiwi-cat-tools) by doing this: Right-click on ASA-device | Edit | Prompts | Username prompt {enterd my username}, Password Prompt {entered my password}
but, when I try to Run the "Device.Backup.Running Config" task, the task is unable to login to the ASA
The Cat Tools works with either a Telnet ID or a SSH ID on the ASA. You will need to add a user, and since you don't already have it, I suggest just using SSH.

I'll give you 2 options...

1) you can run a local TFTP server on your PC, and tftp the setup to your pc using WRITE NET <ip of pc>:<filename>
2) I use the free kiwi cat tools. It will backup up to 20 devices on a schedule and email changes in the config as well. http://www.kiwisyslog.com/
