Thank you so much for your reply. It looks like the router itself will need to be reset. Then, the username and password of admin should work.

How can one log into a Comtrend Wireless ADSL 2 + Router?
Hi Everyone;
I wish to help a friend of mine log into a Comtrend Wireless ADSL 2 + Router. This network device was recently obtained when she decided to switch from a dial up connection to a broadband band connection. She does have the IP address of 192.168.1.1 for this wireless ADSL 2 + Router.
Thanks in advance for any assistance given to this network hardware question.

By default both the username and password are admin.
Click the Ok button to log in to your router.
If the default username and password wont work the next step here is to reset the router so it will be back to its default settings with the default username and password.
