Hi
i have problems with the registration of ip phones with a sip server (unix box). Let me clarify my network topology, i guess that this is my problem.
I have two networks:-
A) network A, connects via ADSL to Internet
B) network B, connects via a cable modem to the internet
The router of network A has ip address 10.0.0.136.
The router of network B has ip address 10.0.0.139 and is also the dhcp server.
All devices have a fixed IP address ...
The unix box works well (internally, thus placing calls to internal phones, and externally - connected with our PSTN/voip provider) when it (and the phones) use 10.0.0.139 as gateway.
When i change only the gateway (so the appliance and the phones use 10.0.0.136 - the new router - as a gateway) things are going OK and wrong:-
OK: http forwarding to the unix box succeeds. SO we can reach the unix box via the public ip address ...
Not ok: the phone cannot connect with the warp ....
I guess this has more to do with networking then with the appliances and the phones. What is the best approach to solve this problem? perhaps different subnet? i'm now using for all devices 255.255.255.0 I know nothing about networking, just a guess ...
