Network Slow Performance

Asked by carlosstfrancis in Network Switches & Hubs

I recently purchased 2 GS748T switches and I replaced my old ones. My network keeps slowing down and it seems like the switches have something to do with this problem. I have 3 servers connected to one switch, no particular order, port wise. I have another CAT-5 connection between the two siwtches and another one coming from another switch across the building. Many times it will take more than 30 secs to open a file on our server and before it will take less than one second. I didn''t do any configuration at all in the switches, but they keep flashing a lot like a broadcaststorm is happening. Maybe I need to re-arrange the ports for my servers and do some configuration on those specific ports?? This is 3rd time that happens and I did resetted the switches but the lag still around.

Please help me. Whats a good configuration for this?Start Free Trial
