Cisco 2950 Switch Question

Asked by: bbresslin

I recently inherited this 2950 switch....the VLAN's that are configured 1002, 1003, 1004, and 1005...are they even doing anything?  none of the interfaces are assigned to a VLAN, which I believe by default makes them all in VLAN 1?

If your not going or want to use the vlans, even if they are doing something, why not just do a factory reset and start from scratch?

Agreed, these vlans are carry over from days gone by and are there by default.  Factory reset will end up with the same thing.
