how to connect fiber optic to network
we have fiber optic btween point A and Point B, point A is where the server is, point B where the workstation will be. I was told i need a switch that accepts fiber...anybody know which or what switch will do that. from the end of the fiber box to the switch what kind cable do i need? the fiber box end is an ST!!!!

Sorry, I cant found info for cisco switch 3870. Also the Cisco 2950 series have many models. This one may accept fiber.

the link you provided is one of the switches that will be at one end (point B) and here is the second switch 3 com supstack 3870 24 port.
do i need a converter to plug into those switches?

I have a Cisco switch 3870 on one end (point A) and Cisco 2950 on the other end (point B) are these switches compatible, meaning i dont need a converter? if so,what kind of cable do i need from fiber box to switch?
