Is it safe to wall mount a Cisco SG300-20 switch?
Hello,

I bought a Cisco Switch model SG300-20 for my home lab.  I was planning on wall mounting it but after reading the quick start guide, it says only the 8-port models can be wall mounted.  I was not aware of this limitation when I bought it so I wanted to see if anyone knows for sure if it is okay to wall mount or should I heed the guide on this one.

Thanks for the response.  So when you wall mount them, is it vertically or horizontally?  The guide mentioned for the 8-port that it should be horizontally so that the ports are either facing up or down and not left or right.

We mounted it so that the air would vent up and the ethernet ports were facing down.

Networking hardware includes the physical devices facilitating the use of a computer network. Typically, networking hardware includes gateways, routers, network bridges, modems, wireless access points, networking cables, line drivers, switches, hubs, and repeaters. But it also includes hybrid network devices such as multilayer switches, protocol converters, bridge routers, proxy servers, firewalls, network address translators, multiplexers, network interface controllers, wireless network interface controllers, ISDN terminal adapters and other related hardware.
