It's Belkin Wireless G Router P57612-D. I found the box and there's a help #.
Should I bring it all down and re-install with the CD? I have no software on the Laptop it's cabled to.
Thanks!

Browse All TopicsI have tried numerous times to establish a WEP enabled secure wireless network, however, I cannot connect to the Internet...even with my Laptop hardwired to the router. So I go back to unsecured.
I have a laptop (host) and a PC hard wired into a Belkin wireless router. The connection comes from a Vonage box and then from the cable modem. There is another laptop upstairs that connects wirelessly. My Gateway laptop has a built in Broadcom 802.11g and I have this set up as unsecured but I think my neighbors are using my INTERNET connection.
Any advise how to do this?

If you enabled WEP it shouldn't be too hard to figure out WPA. You will want to set a WPA passkey. If given an option of using ASE/TKIP select both if possible. Are you using Windows wireless zero configuration (looks like this: http://www.cisco.com/warp/

You will want to use WPA or WPA2 over WEP. If you provide your wireless router model I might be able to give you specific instructions on how to configure it. Additionally, if your having problems hardwired you might have more than a wireless configuration issue.
