i have used a few sets + tested both via data and tester the ones i am using they are cat5e with ends i put on so i know i can trust them

Browse All TopicsI have a proxim AP-700 that i just got my hands on it has a amber light on the power side from what i see in the manual this is from when you gold the reload button and it deletes the firmware i have tryed to connect via http to the unit and i cannot so i used scan tool to set the AP to static and tryed that still not luck on connecting but i can see it with scan tool so i set up a TFTP server on my PC and put the new MIB in it and used scan tool to make the AP DL this, my TFTP server shows 100% ok on the DL reset the AP still amber light and no web config i have tryed this 4 times now with no luck and i just tryed it again with CLI not scan tool and same outcome any ideas?

is the cable you are trying good. have you tried with a different cable? let me know if you find fix for this...
i will keep looking into this...
