Asked by GilesSmeath in Apple Networking, Mac Airport Wireless Access Point, Networking Hardware for Macintosh
I have a Time Capsule connected by ethernet cable to a Netgear wireless router. I can connect my laptop to this fine and get an internet connection. I want to transfer the connection wirelessly to my studio which is 40 feet from the Time capsule/router. There are intervening stone walls so signal is weak in the Studio. I have an airport extreme base station which i have set up half way as a relay station. I have set up an airport express in the studio as a remote but no matter what combinations try I cannot get it to pick up the internet connection from the base station and it continues to flash amber. Airport utility doesn't appear to throw up any problem. I did get it to work apparently for a short while once but after a day the connection was lost. Anyone got any helpful suggestions? I've read pretty much all of the Mac articles on this teaser so I need someone with practical experience of these problems to help.
