Browse All TopicsWere looking to allow a free WIFI connection, but we want to be able to limit the amount of bandwidth on the free end. So lets say Mgt+employes can get 60% of the bandwidth and users on the free can get 40%. If not percentages atleast a cap on the speed. Thanks.

I had this same problem a month ago so I'll be curious to see what you'll do. I had 0 in the budget to even go as far as to look at anything beyond linksys or dlink, so what I did as a bandaid was to string a dlink router off the main router just for the wifi users, and then I changed the speed of the dlink's wan port from Auto to 10mbps. This helped a bit but when users are torrenting on wifi, it brings the entire system down to a crawl.
