Wireless Access for Untrusted Guests using a Cisco ASA and DD-WRT Router

Asked by estaticd in Wireless Networking, Wireless Network Access Points, 802.11 Wireless Access Points

I want to have a loosely secured (WEP) access point that can be only allowed access to the internet.

I've attempted to connect the DD-WRT WAN port to the ASA, configured a static IP for the DD-WRT and although the subnets were completely different (10.x.x.x/24 for the wireless, 192.168.x.x/24 for the LAN) hosts connected to the WLAN were still able to connect to resources on the LAN.  (ie, 10.x.x.x can ping 192.168.x.x) which I want to eliminate.

When I attempted to configure a separate port and associated vlan, which via the GUI interface on the Cisco, the WLAN clients were unable to connect to the internet.

What am I missing?  A solution for DD-WRT would be preferable, so the DD-WRT unit would be able to be plugged into another network to share another networks' internet connection at a moment notice.
