The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Range Extender for Linksys WRT150 N

Asked by computerlarry in Wireless Networking Range Extenders, Wireless Network Access Points, Networking Hardware for Macintosh

I need to extend the range of a Linksys WRT150, which is a wireless N device.

I want to do this as easily as possible, since I have to work over the phone and remotely with TeamViewer when I do this.

I assume that using a Linksys device will work the best, but Linksys doesn't have a range extender that uses wireless N.  They have a G model, which the Linksys Tech Support site indicates won't work.  (Although some may have lucked into getting it to work)

"My range extender worked with my WRT150N router for about 6 months, and last night it just disassociated itself with my network, and now it won't go back. Some linksys guy told me it wouldn't work, but I know it will because it has for 6 months. Can anyone help me set this up?

The tech is correct that the range extender will not work with N router ..... however if it is working fine for last 6 Months in your case .... you can try reconfiguring the Range Extender ...according to the wireless settings in the router ...."

Here's the link for the above conversation.

Does anyone know if an Airport Express N will work?

Thanks.
