I'd remove the connection on the desktop computers and re-setup the wireless connection making you have all the correct settings.
If it doesn't work, then there's a chance the wireless router got zapped enough to where this part of the router is broken although not likely since I'd guess that ( normally?) electrical surge damage would make the router not work at all meaning you would not even be able to login to it using the web interface.
