Asked by: ralphwalkerdj

The model number is 2888.  I downloaded pretty much every file/driver from Lenovo, but I can't get the internet to work.   I know I need to follow some steps, just don't know what they are.

does the wireless network device appear ok in device manager?

if not then it is a driver issue
if yes then it is a config issue

also - a lot of laptops have a switch to turn off wireless - it may be a physical switch on the side of the laptop or it may be a software switch or both.

is it enabled in the bios?
also, check that it is physically present - it will be under a little cover in the back of the laptop, check it is plugged in firmly.

I am surpirsed that there are 'NO' network adapters under device manager - there should at least be the built in ethernet adapter.
