WPS54G loses USB Connection when printer is shut off

WPS54G is connected to an HP LaserJet 1160.
Everytime the printer is powered off and then turned on the USB light is not lit on the printer server.
We have to keep unplugging the power from the print server in order to get it to reconnect to the printer.
I checked the firmware on the print server and it is the most current version.
I also changed the USB cable connecting the printer and the print server.Start Free Trial
