Cannot find wireless printer on network

I have recently tried to install a lexmark 4800 wireless printer as the default printer working with a HP laptop running on vista home premium, the laptop connects to the network through a belkin F5D8231UK4 wireless 'n' type cable router. The USB connection is fine but when I try to install it on wireless, the printer wireless icon is permanently orange, I put in the security code which matches the laptop and router and it attempts to detect and install it on the network. I have tried several attempts but it just will not work. I tried using the wireless utility in program files for the printer and that woud'nt work either, the utility did'nt even run. I checked the wireless settings on the printer and found that there was nothing configured on it, no IP, Subnet or anything, I can't find a menu so I can accesss the printer wireless settings directly using the USB for a connection.
I have also tried running detect a wireless device wizard on the laptop, but it does'nt detect anything.
I just wondered if its a configuration setting on the router, the printer is supposed to be wireless 'n' compatible so it should work with the router.
Need to resolve this if possible, please help.
