Share Internet connection (gained wirelessly) between two laptops via a network cable

Asked by sagonaholdings in Wireless Networking, Windows Vista

Good day all,

I used to be able to share an internet connection between two laptops running Windows Vista (Business) via setting up a wireless ad-hoc connection. Condition for that was that the broadcasting laptop was connected to the internet via a network cable.

I am now at a hotel where I can access the internet ONLY via wireless connection and the problem is that they will go by mac address to grant access, so Id have to pay twice if I try to access the internet wirelessly.

I want to switch the scenario now. Since I am receiving internet via wireless connection I dont think I can share it via the same wireless method I used to.

Does anyone have a solution on how I can connect the second laptop which is also running on Vista Business so that the other can independently browse the internet?

Many thanks for any assistance. Oh, since I am an end user, not programmer, nor technically savvy please word your answer in simple terms or tell me where to run certain commands. Thanks in advance!
