How to stop Windows offering to save Wireless Password

We have some pool laptops that need to be able to connect to our internal and external wireless network. At the moment a user can choose to save the password, this causes security issues because guest users should not be able to access the Internal network.

Would it be best to set up 2 different user accounts or is there a way to stop windows from saving the Wireless key?

Cheers,

Tim

Hi,

it might be better to use some kind of captive portal security instead/as well?  that way, you can control the login page to make sure that even if a public/guest connects to your secured wlan, then they still need to get past the network login.

take a look at mikrotik routerOS (www.mikrotik.com) as a commercial example, or for open source, consider chillispot (http://www.chillispot.info/) or a port of this system for a readily available domestic grade (i.e. cheap) access point device, DD-WRT (http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/index.php)

Cheers.
