Belkin N1 Wireless Router Not Working Consistently

I bought a Belkin N1 Wireless Router for my mother so she can have wireless access in her house. I set it for her a couple of months ago and it seemed like it was working well enough. But lately she has been complaining about getting "Server Not Found" error messages most of the time that she tries to log on to the internet.

I am at her house today trying to see what is happening. I am also unable to get wireless access from my laptop. I am looking at the wireless router right now and I see that the "Wireless" indicator light is not solid on the Belkin router. It will stay solid for up to 5 seconds, but then the light goes out.

Internet access if fine when I physically plug an ethernet cable into one of the ports. Does this mean the wireless ability has been somehow damaged on this router??

OK. I updated to the latest non-Beta firmware and now it seems to be working more reliably. Although the signal strength keeps showing as being "low."

What is the estimated range on a wireless N router?
I'm not sure, but probably around 2 to 3 times that of a wireless g router. But that is only when running in N mode. Unluckily N hasn't been standardized yet, so you'll often have problems with compatibility, and the specs of the different manufacturers will be different. If you don't use any Wireless NIC's with N mode, change the router to only use G or B+G modes.
Thank you.
