router is Linksys WRVS4400N. Print server I was thinking of buying is Netgear WGPS606.

Browse All TopicsI have a home office downstairs and have my laptop connected to the internet via wireless.
I have 2 printers (both with parallel ports) that I want in my office but my laptop doesn't take that connection. I understand I have a few options:
1) Parallel to USB cable that converts the parallel cable with e USB output so I can plug into my laptop
2) Wireless print server
Now, I don't want to use option 1 if I don't have to because when I travel for work and take my laptop, the other people in my house would have to hook up the printers to their laptop to print anything and that is a hassle.
If I get a wireless print server, does that device itself need to be connected via wire to my network? Can I have it connect up wirelessly to my wireless router so that it can be seen on the network?
Any other options?

You should indeed be able to connect the print server wirelessly to your network.
That said if you can provide the make and model of the wireless ap/router and the wireless print server we might be able to give a more definitive answer.
