I did have the DNS changer trojan. The removal tool took care of the problem, and my G5 is back up to fast internet connections. Thanks for your help!

Browse All TopicsWithin the last week, my Mac G5 desktop connects slowly to the internet via airport. The G5 is located too far away from the ethernet to connect directly, which probably would speed up the connection. My macbook pro, on the other hand connects quickly either via ethernet or airport. I have cleaned out the cache by using the flushcache command, emptied the trash, etc - but the connection speed is still slow, almost similar to dial up. Is there something I have been overlooking?
