I want to do this as easily as possible, since I have to work over the phone and remotely with TeamViewer when I do this.
I assume that using a Linksys device will work the best, but Linksys doesn't have a range extender that uses wireless N. They have a G model, which the Linksys Tech Support site indicates won't work. (Although some may have lucked into getting it to work)
"My range extender worked with my WRT150N router for about 6 months, and last night it just disassociated itself with my network, and now it won't go back. Some linksys guy told me it wouldn't work, but I know it will because it has for 6 months. Can anyone help me set this up?
The tech is correct that the range extender will not work with N router ..... however if it is working fine for last 6 Months in your case .... you can try reconfiguring the Range Extender ...according to the wireless settings in the router ...."
Here's the link for the above conversation.

Does anyone know if an Airport Express N will work?
Thanks.

Apple, Intel and Cisco (et al) do not support wide channels in 2.4GHz, and the WRT150N is 2.4GHz only. So if the Airport does work with the Linksys you would not get full speed on 11n (like, 130Mb/s max) from the Apple.

Your best bet might be another WRT150N with DD-WRT firmware, then run it in repeater mode.

If all those caveats don't scare you off... :-)
Flash the 'mini' first,

Then load the 'standard' version,

Alternatively, you can use Eko's builds; the above links are BrainSlayer's builds.
