I just bought Belkin -Powerline starter kit to extend my wireless network. However, after I plug in the adapter, I can't find the network, would someone please explain the steps to me of how t connect to the adapter through wireless connection.

I have netgear which is connected to the internet, and then I have the powerline adapters, and a linksys router. My question, can I connect the linksys router to the powerline adapter so it can extend the network to the second floor. If so, what setting should I apply to the linksys outer.
If the Netgear is a router, then the linksys router needs to be set as an access point. I have done a similar setup in my home and it worked good.
A simple way to determine if the Powerline adpaters are working is this: On the 2nd floor Powerline adpater, temporarily connect a computer to the Powerline adapter instead of the LInksys. This will take the Linksys out of the loop temporarily and hopefully the computer gets on the network.

It's possible you may have two different electrical circuits in the building.
