can you ping outside sites like http://www,experts-exchang
What is listed in your routers IP tables for devices being used?
Could also be spyware killing your connection after a set time. Running Combofix from bleepingcomputer.com

has often fixed odd internet connection issues for myself.
When you are experiencing the problem, does your network connection stay active in Windows?
A few things I would try:
1. As ArmyGroo suggested, combofix, but also I would try winsock fix located at http://majorgeeks.com/WinS
2. Try a different ethernet port on your router
3. Update the firmware on your router

Did you assign an IP to the computer? If so, lets set it back to DHCP, and once that is done. Run this command from a DOS Prompt. ipconfig /flushdns. Then reboot.
Let me know how that goes.
In case you dont know how to change to DHCP.
Click Start, Control Panel, Network Connections.
Right Click Local Area Connection, Click Properties.,
Highlight TCPIP, Click Properties,
Click on "Obtain IP Automatically
Click Apply, and OK
Reboot
