That solutions is not in the budget at the moment. We are restricted to use, Comcast as our ISP ---> Router ---> Signal Extenders.

Well you may need to add an access point or two as repreaters in order to have good signals in all rooms

you have a nice tutorial here:

Well, for best results I thinks it's better to go for 802.11n product.

There is not enough data on the shop site to be able to decide, alos setting up a wireless network is something a trial and error process. sice environmets are not identical an access that fits one location perfectly will sometimes perform poorly in other coditions.

I would go and ask the owners of the shop what do they recommend for your case and go with their advice, if it fits your budget.

If it were me, I would also consider Cisco Small Business products (formerly Linksys Small Business). They will have tighter security and keep the traffic segmented from the hotel's reservation/POS systems.

hotel's reservation/POS systems. is all hand based.

Router seems OK to me.

An outdoor directional antenna will not be good here I think.

you should go for one or more 802.11n access points wired connected to the router if possible for best performance.

the problem is its all Cement and drilling holes for the wires to go from the office is going to be a pain

by: PatelBhavinPosted on 2009-09-28 at 15:34:53ID: 25444217

After Speaking with trend net, the Ant and the router are not a good idea. back to the drawing board i guess.

by: zvitamPosted on 2009-09-28 at 15:52:51ID: 25444314

You can implement the soltion with AP without wires. (you may need another AP as a compensation)

I still think the antennas might not be enough.

Have you investigated pulling in cat5 and putting an inexpensive router/AP above the ceiling in each room, or every other room?

by: PatelBhavinPosted on 2009-09-30 at 10:30:46ID: 25461195

pulling wires is not going to be possible. I called up trend-net and they gave me a better solution. Placed the order with my vendor, and have the parts on the way. I attached the picture. This is what they recommended:
