Ubiquiti Password Reset

hey guys,

We had an old IT person setup our Ubiquity Wireless System here and I trying to make changes to it, but i do not have the password information.

I downloaded the controller, and i put a username/password, and i see the APs, but it just says Adoption Failed.

doesnt work, im assuming you need to have access to the existing controller to run that..

Now, once its reset, how do you adopt it?

You've installed the controller on a pc yes? Then run the Unifi-Discover program which will detect the AP's and from there run the adoption...did you not say

Where do you 'see the AP's'? Anyways run the Discover software to find them now once you've reset them and you should be ok

Yes i do see them in the discover software.

What is required to "Adopt" one?

Oh sorry...

You click on the Manage button - in there you put in the IP of your controller like so

http://IPOfController:8080/inform

Then click Apply and go to your controller web interface - refresh and you'll see the AP show up ready for Adoption...hopefully
