Is it possible to use PPTP VPN over a PPPoE DSL connection?

I have a user who has a Linksys WRT54G v.6 wireless broadband router. It's configured to use PPPoE over a DSL connection with MTU's automatically set to 1492. She works from home and dials in to a Windows Server 2003 R2 hosted PPTP VPN.in our central office. When connected to her wireless connection which, unfortunately is only configured for WEP encryption, she gets disconnected from the VPN after only about a minute. If she connects to the VPN over a wired connection from her home then she's fine.
