The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Need help on choosing PC.

Hi,
I am about to buy a new PC, though I am a little bit undecided what to go for. Please tell me if you see any problems/suggestions.

Case: Thermaltake Xaser III
Motherboard: ASUS A7N8X, Sockel A, Nvidia nForce 2 SPP, 333MHz FSB, 3xDDR400, 2xUDMA133, 1AGP8x/5PCI
Chip: AMD XP 2500 (Although I heard of the new Barton 64-Bit Chip, I come to that later)
RAM: 512 MB DDR-RAM, CLK 2.5, 333MHz, PC2700
HardDrive: Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9, 6Y160P0, 160GB, 7200U/min, 8.5ms, 8MB Cache, UDMA-133
Graphic: Asus V9280 DT, 128MB DDR-RAM, Geforce 4 Titanium 4200 Chipsatz (NV28(8x), TV-out, DVI-I
Case: Thermaltake Xaser III
Cooling: Thermaltake Aquarius II Water Cooler Set

As I said before, I heard somethin of a AMD Barton-Chip, couldn't find it, though. When I looked it up on the Official AMD-HomePage the release date is September 2003. On the otherhand it seems like hte chip is avaliable on ebay. If someone could help me there please(also with a motherboard, if the chip is out et).

I am also sort of unsure with the case. Perhaps a bigtower would be better.

Next point I am concerned with is the water-cooling, if seen people using a non-deducting, non-corroding liquid, if anyone had experience with that, let me know.
I am particual interested in water(or similar)-cooling. So if there are any other things I should know, please....
