what kind/model of tv?
what kind/model of computer?
Do you have a svideo out on your graphics card?

If you have s-video out, it is much easier and you can probably just connect the cable and go. As for no s-video out, you have to use a TV converter which converts from the external monitor port into rca like signal so that you can connect up your tv.

TV converters are extremely cheap these days.

On some HD tvs they come with a VGA port, you can find this near the HDMI port.  You will need to purchase a VGA cable with male connections on both ends.  You can buy one of these cables off ebay.  The VGA port has 15 pins.  On the back of your computer look for the same connection as the television it may also say VGA or SVGA.  If you are using an old CRT screen tv you should be able to connect via the s-video connection, you can also buy one of these cables from ebay.

Please check your television for a S-video connection.  This a round connection and black in colour.

If you do not have an s-video connection on your television you will not be able to connect your pc to it.  Hope this helps

You'll need a video card with s-video, or and extra vga or dvi connection(to convert to s-video or composite). You currently have an integrated video card which only has 1 video output(vga) and your monitor is currently using that. Also make sure your tv supports s-video or composite video.
