Seven and Vista Driver for USB to LPT Port Cable?

Hii I m Having a EPSON LX-300, and i have brought a new pc but the problem is that it dose not contain a LPT port so i have brought a LPT to USB converter. I m currently using VIsta and windows 7, but the Problem is that my orinter dose not print the file when i give print command .. i have search thourgh the net and i  think that i need a driver to convert USB to LPT.. so please help me.....
the Cable i m using is BF-1248
