A Rock-solid KVM switch?

Hi,

I'm in the market for a KVM.  I currently have a 4-port Raritan Switchman which, allthough one of the ports is faulty now, has been excellent.  What I'm looking for are the following features:

8-ports
Bullet-proof reliability
No delay on switching (even for USB machines)
Suitable for frequent switching between PCs without delays
Both PS2 and USB machines
PCs 'think' they're connected to a regular keyboard/mouse/screen even when not active
Reasonably priced I'd like Raritan again but the cost is prohibitive when cables are added

This will be used on a repair bench, so there will be more frequent connecting/disconnecting and switching between machines than would be the case in a server room.  I've seen Startech and Avocent being well-reviewed, but I wouldn't touch Belkin.  Has anyone any opinions to offer?

Thanks in advance

Not Belkin? really? I have a 16port belkin that has cables for both usb and ps2 and it works great. Have you had problems with belkin?

Yes, I've used small belkins at customer's offices and have never had a good one. Constant lock-ups that can only be fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting everything.  Also, a new USB one recently which disconnects the keyboard and mouse each time you switch to the 'other' PC and reconnects when you switch back.  Now, when you switch to one PC, it inexplicably switches back to the other one immediately.
