Mouse not scrolling in Excel Only.

I have a very isolated problem.
I've been upgrading my users with new Lenovo Desktops. They don't come with any PS2 ports so all mice and keyboards must be USB.

One of my users is having an isolated problem.
In Excel 2007, his mouse is unable to scroll up down the document.

1. The mouse does however scroll in every other program (Word, Outlook, Firefox, etc).
2. I tried replacing the mouse with another one and the same thing happens.
3. When I VNC into his computer, My mouse *IS* able to scroll (and I'm using the same mouse)
4. I checked the advanced settings in excel and the only option I saw regarding the mouse wheel was zooming in-out which was unchecked.

any ideas?

What do you mean by the "mouse does not scroll"?

a 3 button mouse has 2 buttons and a wheel button.
when you roll the wheel, you can scroll through a document.
to roll the wheel, you typically use one of your fingers on the same hand that you are using to control the mouse.
Unless you are a pirate, then you can use your other hand or your hook.

Try having "Allow editing directly in cells" enabled under Options>Advanced.  It's worth a shot.

did you try checking the zoom option?

So it's the mouse wheel...chances are there is a problem between the mouse driver and Excel. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse driver. The reason this would not be a problem when remoting in to the PC is that you are using your own mouse driver.

I had a similar problem I some how had freeze panes on for the whole sheet
