>>The main advantage of the Intuos tablet over the cheaper ranges is its pressure sensitivity feature<<
All tablets are pressure sensitive, for my Genius tablet the harder I press with the pen the thicker line I get
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am thinking of buying a Wacom tablet given its dominance and the fact that its recommended by everyone. Most recommend the Intuos series, but its quite pricey compared to the other models Wacom offer so I was wondering if there is a particular reason why I should go for this series?
Moreover I already own this Genius tablet below

Since so I was wondering if there is a reason to upgrade in the first place. I mainly feel about it because of the fact that Wacom is said to be the best tablet by every sources and the rather cheap price of my Genius tablet (bouth it for $28 while Wacom's Tablet starts from around $80) gives me the impression that I don't have the best one
In the end I am not a tablet experts with little knowledge so a guide or an idea about what to look for in choosing a Wacom tablet will be appreciated. Ultimately I don't want to end up picking up a tablet that could be an overkill or not good enough for me. And apologies in advance if the question was not placed in the best zones, I can't find a matching zone for Graphic Tablets so I choosed the ones that I think they fit the best
Thanks in advance

I forgot to mention the intended use for the tablet. I actually use it for drawing, here are some drawings I made with the tablet I currently own (see pictures below), the device already offers pressure sensetivity and as you can see the drawing looks pretty good already, so I was wondering if there would be any particular benefits from switching to Wacom tablet (like the Bamboo) or the Intuos series

Depends what you want to use the tablet for.
The main advantage of the Intuos tablet over the cheaper ranges is its pressure sensitivity feature - this allows you to create artwork with your pen with much the same control as if you were using traditional media. It's also useful for detailed work such as touching up photos. Important if you are a graphic artist and want to use the tablet for those purpose - for myself, it's a feature I wouldn't do without.
If you are just looking for a more ergonomic replacement for your mouse, you should be fine with either a Wacom Bamboo, or the one you have already.
