Browse All TopicsWe have a user that types with 4-6 fingers and pretty much pounds the keys hard enough to bother a few close people. He has also worn out a few keyboards. I need an office type keyboard (not rubber, foldable, or projection) that is very quiet. I found the THANKO brand but didn't see it for sale in the USA.
My guess would be $40-$90 would be an acceptable price range.
Thanks!

Let's look at Quiet first ;)
The first that comes to mind would be the Cherry Evolution
The Apple Pro is pretty quiet but you need to get used to the quirks with " ,@ and it having F14 instead of a PrtScr key - remapping is pretty easy
The Logitec G15 gaming KB is click-free but has pretty positive key movement which is one of the issues with Silent KBs
Incidentally you can buy the Thanko board direct from Japan still
