Hi,
I dont' recommend a Cold Reset. After each Cold Reset you bring all printer settings to its actory defaults and you have to input again the network settings for the JetDirect, and it won't solve your problem... Network settings are stored in the JetDirect network card so all you have to do is pay attention to the JetDirect.
I suggest you check the JetDirect firwmare version (print a Config page at the front panel) and, if necessary, download an upgrade from HP site. Also I suggest you disable the protocols you don't use (from front panel), so the printer doesn't need to sent unnecssary packets in the network... it could help a lot...
Regards,
BB

You could try doing a Cold Reset of the printer. Switch the printer off. Hold the Select button while switching on, until all 3 status lights are lit. Then release Select and use the Up/Down buttons until you see Cold Reset. Then press Select. You will have to re-enter the IP address settings after this (if using an internal JetDirect). You can also ty using LPR instead of Port 9100: in Win2k/XP under Printer Properties/Ports/Configure Port, click the LPR button and enter "raw" as the remote queue name.
