Browse All TopicsWhen I print the HPLaserJet5 configuration page there is a section entitled "HP MIO". There it is saying that my PORT SELECT is BNC. However, I am not using the BNC connection but 10BASE-T. As a result the printer cannot be seen by anyone on the network (the DHCP server or HP Install wizard). I think this is the reason why the IPADDRESS SUBNETMASK BOOT/DHCP SERVER setting on the printer are all zeros.
The funny thing is that when I look at the swith (HP4000M) the MAC address of the printer shows up. By the way the HPJETDIRECT is J2552B with FIRMWARE A.05.05
The DHCP server is working fine and I have other HP printers on the network up and running. I think the problem is that this printer is listening on the BNC connection when it needs to listen to the 10BASE-T.
I don't see any way to change this through the front panel of the printer. Any ideas how to change the PORT SELECT setting?
