Not a print server per se - it is hooked up locally to a desktop and is then shared across my peer-to-peer network.

The first part of my comment that mentioned the count was an accidental (late) duplicate of chuckyh's comment. Thanks for letting me know about the NIC. If you were using it then I have sometimes seen more info and some logs available through the printer's "web" interface. However this would be something available if you were using it as a network printer and not just sharing from your computer.
With the model you have and the way it is set up the printer itself won't have more information than just the count. Chuckyh's comment about the event log can provide a way where the computer may show you more but the printer doesn't have anything else.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

If that is the LaserJet, try to check from the printer itself but not from the PC. Press the "Menu" button from the printer > then see whether got "information" to let you choose for (Or just play around) > Inside the setting of the printer, it could have some features to Print the Usage of the printer.
Hope this help.
>> or just play around <<
Waste of time. You won't find an option to view what you want in the Menu either. You might find some other interesting reports or pages to print but not one with a print history. Just wanted to save you some time in case Hdhondt's and my earlier comment wasn't enough to let you know this.

>> You might find some other interesting reports
yes, you are correct, the reports include with how many pages get printed and even the life of the Toner will show together with others information too. (Installation date, model no. etc) ...... Just a suggestion for the author to test it out, since keep trying is not a bad attitude to have and a good attitude to learn new things.
@Lauchangkwang - I'm glad you didn't take offense at my comment. Suggestions are good and certainly a good attitude is important but it is also important that when we post we remember the Asker assumes some expertise. If we are just making a general suggestion that isn't a solution but something to try (in this case for unrelated information) then that should be clear in the comment. It wasn't clear in yours so I posted my comment. Also an expert should be able to be more specific than "play around." There is nothing wrong with leaving out details to wait for the Author to ask for them; noone wants to type more than is needed. ;) However we should be careful not to mislead the Asker or waste his/her time. I am sure that wasn't your intention but that would've been the result in this case if Ejoech would've tried looking through Menu for the printer history. By the way, if you had in mind the report with total pages printed then it would've been appropriate to give credit to the other expert that mentioned it first (chuckyh).
I hope you take this as the helpful comment it was meant to be. I am glad you participated here and hope to see you helping on this site even more. I just thought this would be helpful. See you around. :)

>> just play around.
Oh ..... that is because every printer have the settings that are different and I cannot mention the correct steps to go in it. That is why I type it as "just play around" = have a look around
>> By the way, if you had in mind the report with total pages printed then it would've been appropriate to give credit to the other expert that mentioned it first (chuckyh).
Oh ..... I guess is not chuckyh ...... Opps ...... I skiped to read some comment already ....... That person suppose is you with this comment:
"Do you know what the count was before you left? If so the printer status or configuration page will show the total pages printed and you can use subtraction to figure out how many have been printed."
Anyway, maybe just an added information to go to "menu", sorry to make you feel I am offense with your comment.
I'm glad I could help. I noticed the B grade. Did you still have a question? If so, let us know and I will be happy to provide whatever additional info I can. In this case you can't get the report you wanted but it seems like the comments were complete enough. I was just a little puzzled by the B. It is nice to have a chance to earn the A. :)
Thanks for the fun question.

Bol,
I apologize for the B rating. You're completely right, I should have awarded an A. I accepted the solution pretty quickly and was not thinking as fair as I should have. It's not your fault that I couldn't get what I was looking for .
MODS - Can you please switch the B rating to an A rating if possible??
Sorry again Bol, I hope that it can be switched.

Is the printer shared on a print server? If not then not really, if you knew the page number on the printer before you left then you can check the printer's status page to see what the number is now.
If it is shared through a print server then the event viewer on the server will show you who printed what and when.
