I have uninstalled all previous OfficeJet K80 stuff I had on the computer. I deleted the Hewlett Packard folder in Program Files. I do not have the installation CD. Any ideas?

Yes, that is part of the problem, there are still chunck of it missing from the installation, that way I ask you to search in the registry for "hp officejet k" and delete the entries. What;s happening is that there is a registry entry and when you run the installer, it check the registry and find an entry. The registry is not connected to your folders, it doesn't know if you still have the files or they were deleted, that's why it is not recommended to delete the files from "Program Files", you are supposed to run the "uninstaller", it deleted the files and registry entries so you don't run into these problems.
You can try using the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove the program from add/remove programs and other references that you are running into. Here is the microsoft page that describes how to use it as well as a link to download the utility.

useful as well. The K-Series of AIO's are notoriously difficult to reinstall.
windows installer cleanup utility solved the problem. I then ran into another problem after installation, where it said "commit FAILED - hResult = 80004005". I finally got a clean install after doing the following:
1. Delete DevMgr.ini
2. Uninstall previous failed version using Add / Remove Programs in Control Panel
3. Delete \Program Files\Hewlett-Packard and all subdirectories and files
4. Delete hp*.* files from all directories on the C:\ drive
5. Clean the Windows registry by searching on and deleting all keys or values containing < OfficeJet >
